Anyone here a half decent video editor?

Does anyone here know how to edit and make videos, or can advise me on how to go about it?

I need to combine some video clips together for an advert, and maybe add subtitles and music.

Windows Movie Maker is free and very easy to use, just watch out how you convert the Movies, so you get good quality

I have Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultra, very good from basics upto Advanced.

Or as Dom said, Windows Movie Maker is more than up for what you want it for if you're not going to edit video lots.

Quickest and already for use on Vista (and XP) if installed by default. Might not give you as much fancy adjustment as Adobe but being free and you just want to join clips, add music and sub (iirc, yes) - WMM will do it fine.

hmm, will these give professional looking results?
It's to be used in a corporate environment and I can't really risk poor quality.

Use some thing simple, don't over do it with transitions and effects, ensure if you use different cameras that you grade the colours to match and use a good mic and record channels seperatly so you can mix it later, use lapel mic's for better voice quality.

Vegas well yes. Latest version also includes multi-camera editing functionality.
