The one that got away

I'm writing an emo song based on this thread as we speak. Its going to be called - "Hearts Bleed Passion in the sky tonight"

Lee, Lee, Lee, Lee,
Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee,
We're talkin' ****in' Lee.
I had a friend named Lee,
He cast a spell a spell on me.
If me and Lee and KG could be three,
Flyin' free Tenaciously,
Skinny-dippin' in a sea of Lee,
I'd propose on bended knee
To Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee,
Lee Lee,
Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee,
Lee Lee,
Le-Lut-Le-Le-Le-Lee Lee Lee,
Le-Lut-Le-Le-Le-Lee Lee,
If me, and Lee, and KG, (that's me)
Could be three, (could be three)
Plant a tree, (plant a tree)
Just for Lee, (just for Lee)
Just for Lee, (Lee)
Just for Lee!
Lee, Lee, Lee,
Leeee, Leeee, Leeee:
LEE!

How many people think that the only reason they believe they have a "one that got away" is down to the fact its the one person you COULDNT have? As some one else already said you want what you cant have. So maybe people have this one person because its the person they couldnt get :P

you can have anyone you want, you just have to persist and apply various methods ;)

It's a valid and fair point. However does your heart work with your logical mind? No, love and passion are irrational so in the cold light of day, and with hindsight, it's very easy to understand a logical and pragmatic approach to the situation. Once wrapped up in a besotted state and one of loved up stupour, I dare say logical reasoning pretty much "goes out of the window".

I will make the same mistake again, and I think as much as I'd love to override my feelings, I'm a guts over mind sort of person - and as such, will never learn!

But isnt' that kinda the point? If you override your feelings surely it defies the point of chasing someone? Isn't the half the fun of chasing someone not thinking about how you should do something but just diving in and following your heart?

I'll make no apologies for making a fumbling idiot of myself in those circumstances.

I'm my circumstances, I've tried and failed and tbh I think I'll just make more of a hash of it to persist. I've dug my hole, I dont' intend to dig further. I don't want to seem defeatist or anything, I'm a very determind person, but I know when to stop making things worse (sometimes :D )

Heh, theres a girl I quite like the look of now actually, works in a local bar down my road, she is pretty, and younger than myself...But I doubt very much I will actually say anything to her...Well, other than "Hello, pint of Guiness please...Normal yeah not the cold one..."

I just never seem to do the whole, communicate thing, scared I guess.

Same for me. I find it extremly hard to walk upto someone ive never met who initially im just attracted to by looks. To start a conversation with them and hopefully get some sort of possitive personal response / click other than looking like some sleezy guy interested in one thing...

with out reading everyone's replies and i know this is a pretty male dominated forum. How many women have this? Cant be many cos lets be honest most women must get the men they want

two girls - one i never did anything about and realised the possibility too late

second i got the cold shoulder off

wounded

but my gf now is pretty amazing tbh
