Just got back last night from a world of pain in Magaluf.
A few of us went to see Tiesto in BCMs the night before last and all but two of us had some pro-plus so we decided to get some out there. We went into a pharmacy asked for a couple of packs of pro-plus and got given some caffeine tablets but a different brand.
I've never taken pro-plus before and they said they would be popping probably 5 or 6 tablets. So we started drinking about 9 o'clock and taking the tablets but they didn't seem to have an effect, so I carried downing them and by about 1 0'clock had had 8 tablets.
Wasn't feeling great so left the club and went home about 3, my mate came home shortly after. I dozed for about 3 hours and realised something wasn't right I got the impression something wasn't right with him too, within half an hour we were both in a right state, my heart was racing, booming in my whole body, we were also both throwing up bile.
My friend was convinced we were going to die, I knew we had made a very big mistake.
We both new we had to see a doctor immediately, she gave us some kind of tranquilser tablet and told us to get ourselves to the hospital. We had taken 8 tablets of 300mg each, a pro-plus is 50mg.
At the hospital they put me in a wheelchair which I fell out of, next thing I know I'm hooked up to an ECG machine and having injections in my butt.
They kept us there a couple of hours told us how lucky we both were and said you both have a second chance, if we weren't so young with good hearts it could have been a different ending.
I was still feeling terrible when I left proceded to throw up more bile outside and then blood with small white caffeine crystals in.
We were due to fly home later that day at 4pm and we were both desperate to get home, I can't begin to describe the journey home as any words I write won't even get close to the horrendous time I had.
It was by far the worst time of my life, I've had some bad health problems before which has complicated things but I've seen the doctor back home and she's given me more meds and said I'll be ok.
I'm feeling 500% better than I did yesterday, I have terrible stomach ache which the doctor said is my stomach lining and my liver is inflamed.
Obviously this is all my own doing and I've apologised to all my colleges for ruining they're last day, they were worried sick and between them got us home.
I've since looked on the internet and we had 2400mg of caffeine this is the same as drinking 30 cans of Red Bull or 48 pro-plus tablets.
