Hi there. Well I was expecting my flatmate and his GF to be home from a few days in france by now. But there are not here.
They were planning to take the euro tunnel there and back. But as you know it;s closed.
Me and him were texting each other fine the day before the fire. But since, there has been nothing.

I've tried calling him, but I get the number cannot be recognized. Needless to say, I'm pretty worried about him and his GF.
I just want to phone them, make sure they are alright and if they need me to transfer them some money for a hotel for a few nights etc.

Her mobile is off. But his should be ok.

I've tried the 07blahblah, +447blahblah and 03367blahblah.

The last one says something about orange, and then speaks in french. I'm not sure which number to press.

Can anyone help?

My brother is in france at the mo and i called him today, I just rang his number from my phonebook i did not change anything at all

When I dial the number as normal, it says it's not been recognized after a 30 second pause. :(

He must not have roaming enabled with his service provider then. GL with it, i am sure they will be in contact if they need anything.

Well he's still gone. And no word from him or his GF. This is their forth night. They only booked the hotel for 2 nights. :(

0044... should work, it's what i've always used to contact my friends in Europe. Thats very wierd, hope everything is ok, let us know =/

Maybe they just decided to stay a bit longer. It's only France so I'm sure they're fine. Regards the number you don't need to dial differently as it's a UK phone. You certainly shouldn't add +33 because then it'll be looking for a French number instead.

you just dial the number as normal, the +44, 0044 etc all do the same thing, they basically ring the british number, just like 07, lets simplify this.

You ring his mobile, it goes to his service provider, which then looks to see where he is, and puts you through to him, wherever he is, meaning you dont have to ring a french number as you ring his service provider and they ring you for him.

Just text them again, and tell them to contact you as soon as they get the message. Nothing more you can do im afraid. If they are alive then they'll get in contact with you soon enough, if they are dead or held captive in some French mans basement, don't expect them to return the call anytime soon.

Good luck though!

It's ok. He text me this morning, saying he's ok and in the Uk. :)

He's still not home yet, but I'm expecting him tonight. He said he had a nightmare trying to get back. I'm just going to have some cold beers waiting for him when he arrives.
