Mortal Online = Potentially the first real next gen MMO?

Looks ok, but its just a trailer i would rather wait and see what the gameplay actually looks like. But the scenery does look awesome. But Age of conan has taught me that beutiful graphics isn't everything, lets hope it isn't another rushed mmo.

Yeah I read about Mortal Online a few months back. Still a touch early in its life for me to get excited about yet :)

Though I did signup for the newsletter back then...actually come to think of it, I've never had a newsletter from them !
 
looks very nice, and what ide hope from an mmo but with it being free i doubt there would be much support for ingame issues like bugs etc etc

Still wont get me excited yet, I'ma feet firmly on the ground kind of guy until I get a lot more info and preferably some first hand experience of it. Then I may get excited though ;) Fallen once too often over the years for the words of devs and artists !

He said he's only ever played UO and thinks there has been no MMO since then better then it.

Oh and its first person.

Its about time someone realised that those who did it first did it best.... Ultima Online. If only EA would realise what a powerful IP they have there...

None. We have no levels and therefore no level restrictions - i.e. certain levels needed to reach an area or to be able to handle a specific sword. You are free to travel the world in any way you like, limited only by the terrain, mode of conveyance or dangers in the environment. In the same way you can use any sword you like, provided you have the necessary skills to wield it.

That doesn't make sense. How can he know that there has been no MMO better than UO if he has only ever played UO? Sort of like saying "There is no better ice cream than vanilla" when you have only ever eaten vanilla ice cream.
