Places to go with GF

The weather's far too bad for that.

Are there any decent Zoo's/Safari Parks by you?

I see you edited my typo. :)

I know nothing of what is in Southampton though, so can't actually help, bar suggest the 'normal' things like cinema, bowling, laserquest, and any other activities that most large towns/cities have. :)

Places. Longleat is a safari park thingy.

Doesnt have to be in Southampton, just looking for ideas in the south ish area. Problem is we have pretty much done all the "normal" things so whenever we get a day off we struggle of places to go.

Well in the South I only know Bournemouth, and don't know of any decent things to do around there bar maybe the pier and walk along the beach. Suppose there is the hotair balloon they have down by the seafront, but I think it's expensive, short and hardly ever running.

Up here in Reading (so far north :p) it's really nice and sunny, and quite dry, which for me if I had a girlfriend would either promote us to go out somewhere for a walk...or just a walk down to the pub. :D

Why not rent a boat this evening and over night through to tomorrow evening (assuming you both have work monday morning)

I've found its a great thing to do with the GF, bit of cruising around with a few G&T's etc :)

A personal cleaner, and a boat!?

My god

I know it's not relevant to this thread but I always wonder when people use both an exclamation mark and a question mark what it is they're trying to say.

My Primary 5 Teacher told me that more than one exclamation mark and/or question mark is the sign of a weak and lazy mind.

Anyway, back to topic :)

I used it to emphasise my question. A BOAT!? :), kinda shouting, and questioning :P

What is the confusion, it is a serious suggestion of something to do with your other half over a weekend. Something which myself and Claire enjoy regularly doing. They are right on the south coast anyway

Or for us mere mortals, a dingy and a bottle of white lightning.

Or do her in the woods.

There is no confusion, its the fact that you have a cleaner, and hire boats for weekends, made me think you are upper class :p

My cleaner is here for 3 hours per week (£18) and the boat is my parents. Really not as glamorous as you are imagining. :p

Boat hire isnt that expensive anyway, in Henley-on-Thames for example it would be around £150 for a modest overnight river cruiser which they could chill on all day tomorrow too.
