Now, as some of you may know, I like my food and I have standards. If it's not worth eating then I won't eat it. Simple really. I do a lot of cooking and whilst not restaurant quality, it's certainly palatable, good hearty food.

My housemates are currently cooking a curry. I want to cry. Parsnips and swede should not be in a curry. They also have balti curry paste, spinach, potatoes and sausages.

I really want to cry. This is blasphamy on an epic scale. :(

I know your pain. I once was forced to eat a student curry where they HADN'T boiled the potatoes in water for a while before adding them and didn't cook them sufficiently while they were in there. They were totally raw, it was horrendous.

Just checked what they're doing. Oh dear :(:(:(

Eep. Aren't uni students supposed to be intelligent?

I must admit I had last night's left over curry with oven chips for dinner. Perfectly edible if it's only you that has to eat it ;).

Mate, if they're doing the same, run, hide, leave uni if you have to. Not only did it taste foul, it resulted in the most unpleasant hour i've ever had on the loo in my life.

Sometimes i have flashbacks, people who were on omaha beach would be close to knowing my torment.

I would be baulking at sausages in a curry moreso than parsnips and swede personally.

I've actually got a good dhansak recipe that I'm going to be making tomorrow.
May do a 'Cooking with' thread for that.

Little snipped up sausages have always been acceptable to me, but then i am not great at keeping a decent selection of food in the house :(

I actually laughed quite loud at that :D:D:D

The thing is, if they took the curry paste out of it, they could have done a nice ratatouille or roasted them. Just something other than curried :(

Remove the Swede and Sausages and that would be rather nice!
Spicy Parsnips are good!
However remove the Curry paste and they have a good foundation for sausage casserole.
