My mate stoopidbaz is watching Star Trek TNG start to finish

battlestar galactic, the new series. Only 4 series, the 4th is still being aired (stupid writers' strike), so not much to watch, but all gripping, no filler (like ST), same standard as 24 and LOST, imo.

Stargate SG-1 also a good one to watch start-finish, well, maybe upto season 7-8ish, after anderson leaves it goes downhill. Still, like it to other sci-fi, since it's more "what the modern military would do if we discovered a stargate" type thing, with some sci-fi flare with space-ships and exotic weaponry

rain, you're sliding into sitcoms though, not the same calibre as 80's TNG, or present dramas like LOST/24/BSG (yes! omfg! I just put them in the same sentence and comparisson!)

Currently on Episode 1 season 3, the one with Bob Kelso from scrubs in :p he started mid week last week.

Apparently he's getting slated lots  and yeh, he's a computer programmer :D

funny, i'm doing the same thing. its nice having all seven seasons on DVD :D

I started doing the same with my X files complete box set about a week ago I think, maybe longer, about to watch s4 ep1 Herronvolk I believe it's called, spend nearly six hours a day watching them! How sad

I've gone TV series crazy lately due to working a lot and not having much to do on a schoolnight... this year i've ploughed my way through the entire series of:
  • Babylon 5
  • Battlestar Galactica
  • Firefly
  • Band of Brothers
  • Oz
  • Prison Break
  • The Sopranos
  • The 4400
  • X-Files (still in progress, now on S3)
