Final Fantasy games

All the Final Fantasy games have their own OSTs released on CD. 6,7 and 8's soundtracks are phenomenal, 8 especially.
I only got into FF games when VIII came out (I had played abit of 7 but didn't really understand the concepts)
8 has to be the worst version I've played so far. Didn't enjoy it at all..
9 was great, I actually shed a tear when I completed it
10 was also great. Auron >*
Didn't play X-2
12 Although its slated by many, I think in gameplay terms this version is the best (no random encounters/gambits/battle mode etc). The story was way confusing and let the game down badly.

There was nothing memorable about it though. The boss battle music was pretty damn good but that's all I can remember.
(on a side note, X is the only FF other than VII that made me bawl like a baby, pity X-2 ruined the ending and threw it away by having Tidus actually come back)
The prelude music was epic! As was the hymn of the fayth. You clearly have the memory of a geriatric goldfish and thus your opinion is void... aside from your opinion that X-2 ruined X, you're completely right but that's the only thing!

Nobuo Uematsu (sp?) makes the best RPG music ever, the only other theme that i love is the one from morrowind, the only western RPG to truly enthrall me.

I still think Final Fantasy Tactics on the ps is the best
