Would it be possible for a Don to make this a Poll?

-I would like to see Shenmue 3 released

-It doesn't bother me if Shenmue 3 isn't released

I just personally think Sega are sitting on a gold mine. And not releasing the 3rd game would be a real shame.

Number 1, It wraps up the storyline of the previous 2 games. Number 2, It was a fantastic game in its own right, and needs to be carried on.

This Poll, Would just help to see on a small scale, Whether the game is popular or more of a cult classic.

I can't see any other poll options that need adding.
 
Not to derail the thread but I played Shenmue when it originally came out and loved it.

Would really like to play it again but I sold my Dreamcast and I have no idea where the games went :(

Is it worth picking up Shenmue 2 and giving it ago and is there a way for me to play the original shenmue without having to get another Dreamcast + Game?
 
For me, Sega games have never been the same since they stopped making consoles, they lost some passion when they weren't developing for their own consoles.

Maybe revisiting a classic series like Shenmue would bring some of that passion back, but I don't think it'd be the same.
 
I'd love it, but Sega just doesn't have the money to anymore. Shenmue has to be one of the biggest misses in gaming history though, absolutely nobody ever knows or will ever know just what happens with the mirrors or if Lan-di will ever meet his demise. I was 13 when I got a Dreamcast and Shenmue. I'm 21 now. Jeez.

I feel the same. I was 16 and now 24 :(
 
Sega have said they have no plans to release another Shenmue. Which is a shame. I never really played it much (xbox) but it seemed a different game than what was out there.
 
Sega should just sell the IP, i'm sure microsoft and sony know what shenmu 3 would do for their sales and would pay accordingly.

I say this but i've never played either shenmu 1 or 2.
 
Never played it but i always wanted too, would love to see the original's released on xbl/psn so people like me who have never played them get the chance to.
 
Shenmue games were great due to the story rather than the gameplay. I can't see them people popular with many younger gamers who will view them as 'boring'.
