2008 Italian GP - Race 14/18

And last week he avoided an avoidable accident by cutting the chicane, but you want it each and every way and if the Ferraris dont perform you want the FIA to step in..

just want consistency in the rules
massa took a point from lewis today on a mclaren favoured track so its all good
but he took webber out

did u not watch the race?

he was past raikkonen after about 4 laps, then passing people almost every lap or 2 and was faster than nearly everyone on the track.

in qualifying did he not have a problem with his brakes which caused him to be slow.

tbh he made the race exciting, it was good for vettel to win but he was just sat at the front going round, not that exciting.

Did you? The race started 2 laps after the safety car pitted. So your saying Hamilton passed Raikonnen on lap 2? I dont think so.

By the time Hamilton passed Raikonnen the car was becoming more suited to the drying conditions of the track (i.e. not delluge).

"You lookin at me punk? For sure."

Just remember where you were when a Minardi won a GP - that to me is MUCH more special than Hamiton winning the championship

That was EPIC!!!

First corner good enough for you?

Thats probably the best gp i've ever been to. Plenty of overtaking infront of the stand, GP2 carnage as well. Fantastic weekend. Weather was pretty good as well, only bad thing was the Friday down poor, which, having spoken to 2 guys who were at the Nurnburgring last year, was just as heavy as that, and I was in a t-shirt....

Lucky you :D. For once well worth getting soaked...

Hopefully youve got some nice pics for us when you get a chance :)

This is your defining moment in my eyes, watch this video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhsmXOPO-JY
Can you honestly tell me that Webbers car doesnt slide side to side and he hits Hamilton, Hamilton does not change direction eratically, Webber is running out of room and panics it seems, trying to turn in while Hamilton is still there. The movement is all from Webber and there is still space for Webber to be there without moving about as he did.
Boy did I kill this place :D
Yeh, sorry, I'm usually up for a laugh but as with any fans you never know if they are entirely serious, so I couldnt tell if you were looking for a rise or not, so I just left it.
Ha!
He doesnt look happy does he.
Of course not, he should be ahead from todays grid standings, instead he only clawed 1 point back.

Nah man just looking for healthy discussion ;) All good fun :)

Didn't really get a chance, only had camera phone. Got a video of the the GP2 crash from yesterday, and a few from the podium today but that's about it. Ah well, lesson learnt for next time.

Didn't really get soaked either, had one of the plastic sheets covering me so I stayed mostly dry for the rest of the time.

hamilton left plenty of room for a car, webber just tried to turn in while hamilton was still there. Hardly hamiltons fault.

hamilton clearly moves over to the left he moved over to block webber in the braking zone
look a the head on view lewis moves over about a cars width its clear as day
how can you say all the movement is from webber?

Lewis was on the racing line and the inside of the corner and moved into position to take the corner at an optimum angle, Webber seems to be dealing with his car under braking and I doubt he turned into Hamilton to attempt a pass but just to hold his car. He looked more annoyed that Hamilton didnt give him room rather than unfairly blocking him...

Hamilton was aggressively fair, he was ahead and its up to Webber to place his car where it will fit - the move on Glock when he pushed him wide off the track was probably a bit more naughty...

Hamilton moves over to the left, but you cant be arguing about that because that is him moving into a better position with the inside advantage. The movement you are surely talking about is what causes Webber to hit Hamilton, and in that case, its all Webber. Hamilton leaves him enough room and Webber cant handle the car..

He was given plenty of room, Webber just lost traction and almost took Hamilton out in the process.

you are allowed one move he made it
the then changes his line in the braking zone again something they agree not to do as its very dangerous
even martin brundle said lewis was in the wrong which says it all
had that been the other way round then there would be outrage in the lewis f1 media and we all know it

Had to work today and missed the race bar the last lap...
Seems I shouldn't read through this thread though, have all the OcUK F1 fans permanently changed into bickering old women?
It was acceptable for the Belgian race but it seems like there's plenty of comparisons being made and dragging out of incidents...

Glad Vettel won, must have been a decent drive.
