*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

I'm quite surprised how much better it is than i thought it would be though. I never liked pvp before but this is a real blast. I can see myself getting into this big time, I really can't wait for the end game sieges etc either. Anyways back to the killing, khaine the lord of murder wills it :D

First time i tried it took about half an hour. But thats probably because the server just opened. I did however try again a bit later but for some reason I couldn't join a queue, the war sign by the map wouldn't go all sparkly to indicate i was in a queue :confused:

From what I've been reading on the other forums if you rolled Destro better get used to queueing if you want to just jump into a game create an order character and help balance the servers. ;)

Me too, i really loved the beta :) I'm just having a really really hard time justifying getting into this - MMORPGs always take up so much time, and 30£ is a lot of money in my mind, espically after being completely burned on Age of Conan.

I'll be doing the same. I am going to have all my Destruction on Karuk-Azgal and my Order on another server.

I did buy Age of Conan so I can see your point but I knew that game was junk instantly, I have a good feeling about this one however....

My plan too mate, Karak Eight Peaks will be my order server.

Has Assassins of Fate been created yet? I'd like to join, will be rolling a black orc tomorrow morning.

Yeah, it was 35£ right down the drain with Conan though, so i have no one to play with now, everyone went back to WoW and they aren't coming back, extremely sad as we had a group of 11 people going to Age of Conan, would have been awesome to do Public Quests with them.
 
Played the beta of Conan, became obvious, at least to me that it wouldn't work. Pvp was horrible, as was the creature AI and pathing.

This is a whole new ballgame :)

Haha that will probably be my Order server aswell mate, well that's the server i chose anyway but want to make sure with a few mates.

Well that's the thing, Tortage was awesome in Conan, but yes it became clear quickly that it was lacking :)
 
To the people whos played Age Of Conan who say they seen it coming, that it wouldnt turn out any good. Whats your opinions on Warhammer Online can you see this working and why?
 
Anyone with an ATI 4870X2 having problem in WAR?

I'm getting somewhat poor fps ingame, and look at some of the control panels reading and stuff form gpuz it appear they the game isn't pushing the card hard and the gpu is completly idle?

If I fire up COD4 the card gets a good hammering and the 2nd GPU springs into life. Any idea's ?

Running Catalyst 8.8 in Vista 64 with a Q6600 o/c to 3.2ghz.

Well as someone who defended Age of Conan throughout the beta and was utterly disappointed at the game after lvl 55 or so - there are definitely some highlights in this:

1: Tome of Knowledge, it may seem like a stupid reason but i had a lot of fun reading everything, looking at achivements and being sucked in by the for me unknown universe during the beta.

2: Possibilites, AoC was pure grind, no PvP options, already at launch here we will have solo/group quests as usual, scenario and open RvR PvP and the awesome Public Quests

3: Character options, Renown training along with regular rank training, good talent trees as far as i could make out, and tons of different character classes

4: Stable servers & game, there were tons of problems with Age of Conan performance, not so with WAR

5: Mythic, they have a great reputation from DaoC compared to Funcom history

Trying to get my Age of Conan account sold, and it seems like it has improved a lot by what my friend says, but no one will get it even for 10£.

Edit: Also "During a Baltimore Games Day 2008 question and answer session, Jeff Hickman stated that an expansion pack and the first two major content patches were already in the pre-production stages." from Wikipedia sounds awesome.

yea i soloed one of the dark elf PQ's the one with the slaves with my lvl9 black orc in open beta and got a purple chest peice

on my old x800 i was getting 10-12 fps everywhere i noticed the card got hotish on the character select screen where i would get 97-99fps ,but then ingame the card was at idle temps.
after some messing around i discovered if i set my desktop resolution to the same as i have wars fullscreen resolution set to then my card would heat up and my fps became 40-60 and 25 in scenario's.

not bad for a 5 year old comp :)

so try messing around with your desktop resolution and refresh rate
