Yeah me too, and i think i'm really close to finishing it but will wait until the next patch and restart the game, and try to get it done as quickly as possible, will start on lowest difficulty then, just to get it over with quicker.

I got really close on 1.1 then it wouldn't let me go further so had no choice to put 1.2 on, but now i'm stuck in the bloody swamp again, stupid guide wont take me to the cordon! God Damn it....!!!
Yeah this is really annoying me, i really can't explain how unbelievably stupid i feel releasing games in a state like this is.
Main quest broken with patch 1.5.04. After I eliminate bandits at the depot for the Loners, the main quest disappears! I can return to the Major and he uploads the location of the case into my PDA. But no location and the main quest is still not there! I had to start this ******* game again to use this patch and it's killed it.
Fans have stuck with GSC for a long time but they are going to lose credibility and business if they don't playtest their code in future.

Went back a few savegames and had to play through an entire section again. This time, everything worked. It's still inexcusable and if the game wasn't so damned atmospheric and good to play, I would have labelled GSC as bandits and told them to climb in bed with that other robbing ******* , Gordon Brown.
That's the crapest thing I've ever witnessed in a game, wtf?

If you stick to the left there is a fallen log, you need to run quickly and get behind that and then just keep running. Basically the easiest must be having loads of medkits but i was left with one at that point.
Lol I just bought this at the weekend and wondering what i'm getting into now 
I've played shadow of chernobyl many times and love it but there's something odd about clear sky that I cant put my finger on yet. Would be nice also not to get blown apart by the first blow out everytime. How can you possibly climb to the top of the tower, kill the beasts, get to the bottom of the tower having just watched the guy you fought with suddenly drop dead?????????, in 6 seconds??????? Also where do i hide??? I've tried the caravan and got painted on the landscape every time. Bit odd this game. Official forums are dead too.

Lol I just bought this at the weekend and wondering what i'm getting into now
You dont hide, you simply get taken back afterwards and wake up again.
Failing this you can exit back out of that area into the swamp and go further north and use that entrance which is clear. Only problem is you have to scoot down the map to get to the stalker rookie village for the quest.
This is what I did. Back to the swamp and then up to the other path in the north east corner. Really was quite odd being back there again, kept getting flash backs of playing the first game.
