2008 Italian GP - Race 14/18

I like Kimi, the man don't give a **** lol
He cuts about in jeans and trainers at race weekends and isn't a performing seal lol
I loved it a few years ago in Monaco when he was driving for McLaren he crashed and instead of walking back to the pits, the camera panned round and showed him in his yacht having a beer :D

Or "having a ****" :D

We can dream, but sadly the advertisers pay ITV a lot of money to show them during the race which is worth more than all the bitching we do put together. I agree with you though.

I'm sure the advertisers would spend a similar amount to place an ad during a high profile game of football but still ITV manage to show each half uninterrupted.

Basically they don't care about F1 fans at all but daren't risk a backlash from the footy ones

Just watched italy as i recorded it while at work, all i can say is.....

WOW!!! Just wow.

the last 2 races have really annoyed me, the total biased media, and the fanbois thinking the rule book shouldnt punish "the young brit"... And finally as martin said today "he does push his luck..."

But Vettel... Just WOW. Drive of the year. Star of the future.

3 new winners on podium... very good :D

HYPOTHETICAL question here...
(So dont lynch me :D))

Had Hamilton not been a driver from UK, do you think the ITV pit crew would be as "forgiving" with regard to the move(s) made by Hamilton today?

I think there were two instances that Brundle said he pushed the limits.... and tempting fate.

exactly, i bet in almost every other country in the world, last weeks "mess" as the uk puts it would have not really made the news, broken rules, take the punishment. But then this country as a whole seems to think you can get off scot free for murder so cutting corners is ok surely?

This is your defining moment in my eyes, watch this video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhsmXOPO-JY
Can you honestly tell me that Webbers car doesnt slide side to side and he hits Hamilton, Hamilton does not change direction eratically, Webber is running out of room and panics it seems, trying to turn in while Hamilton is still there. The movement is all from Webber and there is still space for Webber to be there without moving about as he did..

I make no secret of the fact I hate it when drivers move over and don't leave a car width. In that case though he leaves enough room, the trouble is webber just doesn't want to put the left front on the painted area at all. In the dry there was more than enough room. In the wet there was just about enough.

I'd say thats hard but fair.

or had it been webber that moved over and put hamilton off would itv be so willing to brush it off as racing

What a case of deja vu, been out all day, not seen any of the race so popped into this thread to see what people thought of it

AND it's still Hamilton Hamilton HAMILTON.

Would people who want sleep with / slap Hamilton please get a room

Well if I want to slap him Id rather do it in a boxing ring or something...

Unless your into Sado/Maso-fetishes

But yes the Hamilton subject has been defiant even after Spa :D

So you admit that Webber was "put off" by Hamilton squeezing him but leaving him enough room and the Aussie turned in on Hamilton too early for the corner?! This could be a development, you may have discovered "leniency" for racing despite trying not to.

And the winner of this weeks F1 thread is...

JRS :D

Thank-you, thank-you ver' much. I'm here all week.

Also got to hold my hands up - you were right, I couldn't not watch this race. Me not watching the Italian GP is just....unthinkable, really. Virtually any other race on the calendar and I honestly wouldn't have tuned in after the Spa fiasco. But Monza....ngh. Just couldn't do it.

Failing that comment I would have to give the award to Bernies "Have ITV sacked you yet? No, well tell them to buy you an umbrella" remark to Brundle on his grid walk.
:D

And we thought we'd never see your face again after last weeks debacle :D

nope kimi never hit anyone :D

yes he did, he went into the back of hamilton in the middle of T1 remember ;) and hamilton didnt hit webber, hamilton was travelling in a straightish line, it was webber that was sliding everywhere under braking and put it into the side of hamilton.
