I'd imagine there'd probably be a delay between patches getting released and the updates being available on Steam.
Ulfhedjinn said:I don't see why this would happen. If a publisher is selling their game on Steam, there's no reason they wouldn't send Valve patches the same time that they send it to everybody else. I'm sure someone who knows more about Steam's patching system could clarify.

Personally I'll be buying Warhead on Steam as I can't be doing with DRM activation limits. I never actually played the first Crysis as I thought it was dull, but this spinoff does look good. I'll be playing STALKER Clear Sky through first though.![]()
I'll be buying it on Steam but I think it'll still have the same "three machines" install limit, Bioshock did.
Why would this matter since the STEAM files are contained in one area, you cimply backup and restore this folder and BAM, no need toreinstall any game..
will buy it when next gen gpu will come out should be much cheaper then![]()

By the time you actually manage to download it you'll be able to buy it in the shop.![]()

I was just pointing out it probably will still have the restrictions because he thought it wouldn't. That said, what happens if SecuROM detects the new system configuration? That is how it works after all.
Edit: Just been informed the Steam version of Bioshock didn't have the copy protection, typical people with their scaremongering bull even caught me in their trap. I hope Warhead also has it removed.
That's right, Steam has zero DRM. Third party developers know that Steam is a very effective method of anti-piracy itself, due to games having to be purchased and tied to accounts, with online verification on purchase. Piracy on Steam games are amongst the lowest numbers of the lot. With Crytek moaning about the original Crysis being heavily pirated, it's fairly easy to see why they wanted to release Warhead over Steam. No need for separate DRM if the platform does the job.
I just remember a lot of stuff about Bioshock still having its own DRM when it was on Steam, but I've just been informed that it was a load of codswallop. One of my mates was telling me the EA games have rootkits, it enraged me ._.
No, they don't.
is warhead looking like itll be anygood?

And i'll ask this here too (sava another thread). Has anyone ever seen this box art for crysis before?
