Edmonds begins TV licence boycott

I know the License also funds BBC's, secondary? channels.
Is there a list of all the channels the license is actually for?

I do have a TV, I do have cable, but tbh the thing used most on it is the VM On Demand stuff, which Im sure would be classed the same as iPlayer and similar.

Just wanna check what channels the license is actually for before I think of changing wether or not I have one, as above seems silly to be payin x amount per month for something I actually use then a huge chunk once a year for something thats not gonna get used.

Got the letters after I bought a tv in JAN.

It is in the Mrs name so ignored it. Haven't had any for a while now, and have a new tv.

Screw them, not worth paying tbh, mainly use mine for films and champions league footie on itv. Then SWMBO uses it for friends and other crap.

so how come no rich toff or group has taken the BBC to court and tried to fight the fee, you always here talk, but nothing happens, we as the watcher should have the right!

If the inspectors turn up on your doorstep, tell them to go away; they cannot enter your home without a warrent.

True, and this detecor equipment they speak of is utter pish! they work on the basis that they have all the addresses in the uk on a database, they match it to those who haven't paid and then they mass mail!

When buying a tv from the likes of Argos etc...they take you address to pass on to the TV Licence guys to cross check. But that is literally it, a crappy system which is backed up by nothing but hot air!

My sister bought a new tv, she had moved back home yet they still wasted the time and effort in sending a letter asking if she had a TV License, yet the address has had a TV License for 25 years plus,
