Samsung Omnia I900 owners thread.

Hmm another odd one - If I turn my phone part off and back on the date and time reset? Is it picking up some NTP from somewhere off T-Mobile?

Its fine if I turn Wifi/BT on and off?

Whats the battery life like? Mine seems to be rubbish only a day withiout needing a charge?

Also the date/time seems to be resetting as well?

Dangerous - This will change once you've been through a few charge cycles. Once you've had been through about 8-10 that battery becomes rock solid. I can get 2 1/2 days out of my omnia now

Maybe the battery will get better but I expect to send it back to T-Mobile for this Time/Date fault.

If the soft reset the PDA or turn off the phone the time and reset back to Wed 2nd Jan 2008 :(

haha, right what I mean is you can access the clocks via the phones' touchwiz menu and that you can also do it by going into settings; settings being the view which looks like windows mobile as oppose to a phone.

Ah har if you go into active sync on the PDA there is Peak and Off Peak times - You set the off peak to connect manually.

A tip of the cap sir! Can you guide me to that option, I went into ActiveSync but I couldn't find it.

What I'd really love is for it to only connect to Exchange/other accounts when an active wireless connection is available, so that it'd poll every 10 minutes when there is a connection and not poll if there isn't.

well my tomtom is working again without GPS gate :/ but yesterday it wouldnt at all

gets weirder

and google maps finds a gps lock every single time
