If Im right coconuts are big and green when they grow on trees..

then you can drink out of them etc on holiday (they chop em with a machette or something and you can drink the milk)..

but how come the coconuts we get in the supermarket are almost wooden and totally different?

Is there a process getting them to that stage, or are they different kinds of plant?

OT slightly, but has anyone tried coconut milk/coconut water with Weetabix? :p

Also is it comparable in price to milk?

I don't drink milk now, but am missing weetabix. Soya is disgusting and water just makes them go soggy and horrible.

yes the coconuts are green when fresh, and in Brasil they put it in the refrigerator until they are cold and then cut a top of the shell and drink up the coconut water with a straw

you can see a box with them in this photo, on the floor to the right (they sell it in the beachs over there):)

:/

Yuck, I despise notions that people use anything other than milk (or occasionally in some situations adding a bit of yoghurt) to breakfast cereals.

Are you not drinking milk at all or are you lactose intolerant? If it's the latter lacto-free milk is surprisingly good

My spots clear up immeasurably when I stop drinking milk, and come back worse after a couple of days of using it again in cereals.

At the moment I've been having Poached eggs, alternating with fruit and toast for breakfast, but it doesn't really compare to cereal! :(

How do you know it isn't the cereal? When you stop milk, it seems you stop cereal. It could also be a chemical reaction between milk and cereal called 'soggyosis' that could be causing spots. Some things you should consider before you assume it is solely milk.
