Force 3D Radeon HD4870 Freezer DHT
Our load temperatures were some 20 degrees cooler than what we saw as idle temperatures with reference design HD4870 boards. This superior cooling also kept the variable rate fan spinning so low as to be silent. But with spectacular cooling often comes spectacular overclocking. The Freezer DHT cooler card maxed out the Catalyst built in overclocker at 800MHz on the core and 4.4GHz on the memory and ran that so rock solid I know there is more room in there.
Best cooled HD4870 on the market right now.

Cant say as i have ever heard of Force3D as a graphics card maker but it looks like they may be making some interesting cards. All depends on where they market themselves i guess.

Nice cooling but the overclock means nothing.

I have mine watercooled and I don't get a single Mhz better than the stock reference cooler, just lower temps.

Temperature is not what stops 4870's overclocking. You just get good and bad chips IMO.

Agreed, if i put the fan at 100% fan speed which kills my ears it still can't overclock like mad even though it is cool, you need more volts.
