Thats the important thing, sales figures are all good and well (remember Age of Conan was the quickest selling MMO ever, beating even WoWs initial sales), but its the retention thats important. The key to success is what percentage of those sales are still active players after the first couple of months. AoC suffered from ENORMOUS player loss in the early months, something like 62% of their userbase left in the first 90 days (cant remember the exact figure as I am at work, but I have it at home).
Having said that (and yes I am biased on this), I think that WAR has the right ingredients to ensure a healthy retention rate.
