Hiding that 24pin ATX

The GPU will be watercooled hopefully tommorrow lol its taken nearly a year to get it like this! lol

I know this probably sounds stupid.. but when drilling holes did you have to take all the components out?

If so how did you place all your components, to not damage them etc??

drill out a hole to pass the ATX lead up through right up against the motherboard there at the back of the case?

So it just pops up the back and straight alongside the mobo?

Add some blowhole trim and it could look factory

yep motherboard and all that came out as did the PSU and radiator.

How did i place them? flat down on a desk with nothing potentially dangerous around them lol

Perhaps its just me, but I find it quite funny how you have replaced the CPU cooler fan with 4 fans to cool your rad :) Looks nice and tidy @ rest of system though.

Yes, unless its just plastic. Last thing you want it a piece of metal swarf shorting out your mobo.

You can solder the 24 pin cable to the BACK of the motherboard, custompc had an article on it last issue

permanent though :(

unless you sacrifice an ATX extender cable, and then drill that hole I suggested to run cleanly down the back of the mobo, IMHO not worth it to tidy up just one cable, just drilling the case t route it smoothly down the side of the mobo is enough

NO NO lol i was thinking about that approach lol a magazine lol it any good?

not risking my psu and motherboard though tbh, too much money for me! lol plus as mentioned permanent so upgrade be hard!

looks cooler ;)

Behind the mobo/saw a hole.

Also, get those hard drives turned around - SATA and power cables shouldn't be visible. And shorten the tube to your CPU.:)

I'd cable tie it tightly down that backing piece, drill a couple of holes if required, then let the excess hide inside the lower compartment.

wow that's really tidy, any chance you can take a picture of the other side of the case where you tucked the cables away? I want to see how you arranged them. I've tried to tidy my own case but having problems keeping all the wires behind the mobo

The wires taped up go behind the psu when the side panel is on so they out of view, the wiring in the bottom of the case from the fans will all be tidied up.

all the spare molex taken out, and rewired into the 3pin header and all wires taped together into one big wire

When my velcro pads arrive then the radiator will be stuck into place, as atm its free and in pic doesn't sit straight

And for added effect this is what it looked like when i first built it Clicky!!
