Here's the story:

The highest bidder on my HTC TyTN 2 is actually a scammer from Nigeria (I didn't realise until the payment address came through unfortunately).

I get this email:

So I know the score and immediately put the phone up for a "second chance offer" to a guy from Italy with great feedback - sods law, he's already bought a phone since then. I end up contacting ebay and they're already on to him so I relist the phone and the auction is running now quite happily.

Anyway, I then get this email from my buddy overseas:

Oh no...a "Unpost Item Strike" from eBay (@mail.com)...what am I to do?

Well that's where I thought you guys may help out.
I was originally going to just ingore these emails (and may well still do that), however if there's something funnier I could do then I may be tempted.

Anybody see mrk's post about posting poo earlier?

hmmm.....

Did you ever see the macbook website of something similar to this (i cant remember the link) but some scammer in the uk bought a macbook from some american guy who knew what was going on so sent him a ringbinded folder with macbook written on it in black marker! :D

Time to make your self a fake phone (or a stressball style phone) and send it out to him!

I was thinking the very thing...that "P-P-P-POWERBOOK" was funny as hell!

Baiting can take a lot of time and energy, send him a brick and declare the value £945896495689 so he has to pay the import duty on it or something lol..

AHHH P-P-P-POWERBOOK!! That was too good!

Set up a website now! ask for donations to send him a can of dioderent with IM A FONEY MC-RINGRING written on the side in tipex!

I'll pay money for postage! Just declaire the value as more than the nigerian economy and see what happens! :D

Does Nigeria have import duty? You could put a inflated value on the empty/fake package ;)

That's how the story went of someone from eBay getting pay back. I think it was a brick inside an empty laptop box, which incurred something like $1000 in tax.

The scammer paid that thinking he got a free laptop.

This sounds like a good idea, but it's a shame I don't know anyone in Nigeria who can trace this for me...if you get to see the outcome it's worthwhile spending a few quid sending a poo filled mobile phone box with a brick in it. If you don't get to see the happy ending it's not really as fun...

I'd play a long with it, it's a laugh for you and everyone on here. Also teaches the scammer a lesson. I say send a poo parcel :D. Put a CD in the box aswell with an episode of fone jacker on .

Only problem with listing it expensively is if they don't accept it. Return to sender, and you pay the fees.
