What about a Mercedes SL. Does a 500 fit into your price/age/mileage bracket?

I cant imagine it being much more than the M3.
I was thinking this the other day when I came accross it, theres gotta be something wrong with it.Roush Stage 3 2008:-

I'd say that audi a6 looks like a corker.

Hi there
Or maybe there is nothing wrong with it, just a great car at a great price.
Remember when I bought my Saleen I got it about 8k under the going rate which when I sold it the first time round I actually made nearly 2k profit. Sometimes bargains crop up and I was fortunate to grab mine.![]()
I do like the saleen, but i would never buy one for the pure fact there are better cars about for the cash.
And I imagine the fuel is through the roof (although that isn't really a reason for not buying your dream car)

Hi there
Depends what you want, better for the cash though, well depends what your after. Right now there is a V8 Mustang on Pistonheads for £11,950, add to that suspensions and brakes £3000, add another 3k for the supercharger and I'd say for 18k for a 2005 car with 500+ BHP is quite a lot of car for the cash.
It depends what you want, I want a car that makes me grin everytime I turn the key, a car I can mess and fiddle with and work on myself. To be honest not many cars give you that kind of grin first thing in the morning or whilst driving.
The car average 16mpg around town, for 550+ BHP I'd say its reasonable.![]()
Have you looked at something like this?

It's a tiny bit over budget, but i'm sure you could haggle it down to an acceptable level and looks to be everything you're after.
My local independent dealer has a Cayman up at around your budget, and plenty of Boxsters under budget, but probably too old. They are also quite good at sourcing cars for you if you give them requirements. Jonathan, the owner has an awful lot of contacts:

I think you'll do well to get £15K for your M3. The prices are plummeting so fast that as each week goes by it is worth less.
Rotty, what ruled the Z4M out, if you don't mind me asking?

a p/ex offer of £11,350![]()
Oh r, forgot about the original hehe
Still considering one at all? I'd love to try a drop-top, brothers M3 sounds amazing with the top down, I'd hope the Z would sound the same! (what with the engine)
interesting![]()
