Not a chance, the balls behind him as he hits it, that why it goes left so much, he meant to put the height on it though.

What I think is that he didn't need to look up to see where the goalie was...he knew where the far corner was and kicked it that way, hoping to catch the keeper unawares.

And he couldn't have hit it like he usually does as it was slightly behind him from Kuyt.

I am loving the new chelsea under scolari man they play some very nice football, pass it around quickly, get forward well look very alert and all of em pretty confident on the ball!

And yeah deco was a steal that that price, he doesnt have the legs no more but some of his passes are sublime! Does give it away every now and then though :/

We're looking a bit dodgy at the back today. We're almost playing a 4-2-4 and Masch & Lucas are getting overrun in the middle. Stunning goal by Gerrard though

Agree. Babel's doing no defensive work at all and Kuyt's misplaced so many passes it's unreal. Really hope he's taken off soon.
