Well, seems GTX280 prices have rocketed again...

Hopefully we won't see ATI cards suffer a similar price hike :/

With the current prices though, it does indeed make them look like an ever better prospect :)
 
gx2 vs 280? should i wait till prices get better, wait for the 55nm or just get the GX2 .. i could sell my 8800GT + £140 for the GX2 :-/
 
Well I don't really need a new card anyway.

The only games i'm looking forward to this year are Golden Axe, Street Fighter IV and the new NFS (what's it called again?)

I wish they would make an updated version of Double Dragon as well lol :)

I wanted to buy a GTX280 next week cause was tired of waiting for 55nm, now I have no idea what to do!

Fully star out swearing.
 
So some people are gonna wait the 3-4 months for the nvidia die shrink that will be released just in time to compete with the next ati chip sounds like a brilliant idea :rolleyes:.
 
I wonder whether the "whhhaaah, I bought my card, and then the price dropped and I want money back" muppets will be posting threads asking how to forward money to OCUK to cover this rise.
 
They've had to put them up because of the new 260 prices, as no one would buy a new 260 if they could get a 280 for around the same price, so they've had to hike the 280's up to fit the new ones in, its another masterstroke by Nvidia.
