I've just dropped my 2 spare Speedline Cyclones off at my local paint man tonight for some glass blasting,

I'm going to have 4 alloys refurbed, but can't decide which colour will look best!

I need some opinions :o :p

My car as is at the moment..

I'm thinking of either standard silver as in the above picture.. or Ford Graphite Grey (shown below) which Is like Anthracite I suppose.

Which should look like the 106 GTi below which belongs to a friend..

Hmm...

I also reckon you should do something completely different and go with silver, too many people going with black/anthracite these days, doesnt even look too good.

just stick to silver mate, far too many people trying to be creative with cyclones, they look best in standard form! and sort that damn fmic ;)

Silver. The black/dark alloys just looks wrong on the light woofty blue Peugeot.

I think you will find that "Manstone Blue" is the best colour the 306 came in. :D

InvG

That looks stupid on that pug. Silver all the way.

I think the cyclones look better in the Graphite colour than Silver, but then again they didn't ever come with Cyclones.. so maybe thats why I think it looks better

Hmm.. you have a point there, I don't want to be a sheep and follow everyone else, I just want to find what looks best, a nice shiny shiny silver is tempting though :o

**adds another view to the tally sheet** .. Not looking good for the anthracite :D

Fmic?... I just need to find the right sized intercooler!! although I'm remapped to 120/125bhp which feels like a huge jump from 90bhp.. 150bhp should be fun, although the clutch will need replacing before that.

just go with the one JAC uses, think he's sorting a kit out soon? aye mines up to that now and clutch is already starting to slip :(

I don't fancy paying for a kit.. as I'm guessing its going to be marked up a fair bit.

I can get the intercooler off ebay & the slimline fan, just to get round to buying it all up, the ripping all the old stuff off (fans, A/C)

clutch is a pain.. but I suppose it wasn't designed for the extra torque we are putting through them, Mr Whippy mentioned one which is manufactured by Sachs? its an uprated item, about £300-£400 though :o

sachs yeah, they also manufacture the OEM shocks for the VTS/GTI-6. may be a bit overkill though, a new OEM one should be fine, just will start to wear out quicker (50k instead of 80k+) :)

Hmm, OEM clutch it is then :)

I collected the two Cyclones tonight.. this has amazed me, the chap took them to the blasting shop he uses, asked the man to glass blast them and it didn't take the paint off.. he tried brickdust? concretedust? and then finally moved onto some shot, the shot was the only thing that would touch the paint :o

I've got them back and am having to sand them down a fair bit with some 140 grit paper just to get to the alloy beneath, so.. Speedline paint is tough stuff :p

I've decided to go for Silver.. just trying to find the paintcode of the best looking colour!! I want something realy realy shiny,
