? You don't get the DRM message which you do when installing off the DVD as I've seen the DVD install message, a DRM window appears saying it is checking release date and verifying etc.

The messages he is on about is regarding the install of EA download manager and Gamespy installer which you can choose to install on first run.

play at 1366x768 + z5500 5.1
play at 1280x1024 + senn 595's

Headphones make me feel more in the game tbh.

(595's + Xonar = heaven)

If it was possible for me to get a 5.1 effect I'd use them on my consoles too.

I did think the 18th was a bit... of a crap date. UK game release days are almost always on a Friday and I see no reason why Crysis was about to become a special exception.

I should have mine in the morning as I received a text message saying it was despatched today(Wednesday) for delivery tomorrow. I, unlike most, actually really enjoyed the original and going by what reviews say this one is much better. I'm really looking forward to the improved CryEngine, too

Been gawking around some of the user opinions of the performance, some loving it some getting really weird results. 1 guy had tri sli 280's and the max his fps has been is like 16, hes tried using 1 then 2 then 3 and no change.

Lot of other people saying the performance increase is tiny, others again saying its a big improvement. :confused:

I've seen more positive results than negative. Those who are saying the results are tiny are far and few, the one guy in particular had an AMD X2 with a 4870...GG playing it at any decent res on that CPU lol.

There's something up with the GTX280 guy's setup since the next guy down gets 40-50fps on the same bit...

His PC is obviously bugged, even on the original Crysis a setup like that gets 40+ fps.

Yup, then it would just be a small update then play away, as it is now its dload multiple gigs and either pull a late night to play it or go to bed and play it in the morning.

Then it's unique to Crysis Warhead as SecuROM does not do that in Spore or Mass Effect. No message.

Am ****** with Valve. Can't believe it's releasing on the 19th! Blatantly false advertising. I honestly thought I was going to get to give it a go tonight.

Now, I know it's only a day, but the point is they lied stating it's released to rest of world on 18th. For a digital delivery there is no excuse for this kind of rubbish.

Agreed, got up this morning to see if there was any word on when the game was gonna unlock (so I could get the Mrs to set it off downloading while I was at work), and lo and behold 'This game will unlock in 17hrs'...

That isn't even the 18th... :mad:

i can leave it downloading over the weekend i guess, but still :/
