Crysis Warhead - Gone Gold

Got my copy this morning and it's humming along quite nicely on the Gamer settings @ 1680x1050. Did try playing it on enthusiast but it started chugging in heavy firefights. Hopefully that will lessen when I get my new mobo/cpu next month!

Another thing to note is that you simply have to play this DX9 for the best experience (unless you've got a high end card) as with the latest 8.9 cats I lose 10 fps in some areas if I run in dx10.

Good to know. Thanks.

Now that enthusiast/very high available on DX9 will probably stick with that.

Normal Crysis with everything very high is almost playable already, so my system should manage it. I hope :)

Well I was kinda happy with 1280x960 ALL VERY HIGH and no AA in DX10 with Crysis at 25-38FPS (slowest being Snow Level).

Crytek CLAIM this should be faster LOL.

Crytek's claims are about as relevant as Inquirer articles :)

Yes, I know but some are still in denial over Crysis Prelaunch claims by their CEO. ;)

(I'm sitting waiting on mines hopefully coming through mailbox, usually get 2 days early from my place of order), seems 1 day now if it even comes. :(

OK I've just ordered this, but I'm a bit confused about the 3 install limit DRM thingy type stuff. I can install it 3 times before I have to contact EA cap in hand to activate it? Or does it 'unactivate' itself when I uninstall? Or does this mean I can't have it installed on more than 3 machines at one time??

This DRM stuff does your head in ...
