Quick Asus Vintage V3-M2NC61P Barebones System Question

Hi

Looking to buy this system and a few asociated things today. Questions is, can I connect this pc to my TV? My flatscreen TV has the facility to be used as a monitor, but can I connect this pc to the TV using the onboard graphics?

If not, What El cheapo graphics card should i buy that will allow me to do this?

depends on your tv, the barebones has a vga and so do most tv's. You would also need to hook up audio L+R with at least a basic stereo cable.

As far as better outputs, you can add a compact pci-e card, that would normally have dvi (with dvi to vga converter) or perhaps HDMI and a TV out.

To cut a long story short if you tv has hdmi thats the connector to get on a graphics card as it opens up the prospect of easy connection and HD playback.

ATi 2400 and 3450 cards are reccomended, they are cheapish compact and effienct at video decoding and output. Aim for one with built in hdmi conncetor or a dvi to hdmi adapter in the box.
