Anybody finding Warhammer laggy and choppy like me?

Because it's really ruining it for me :( Is it my pc? I just find the game choppy and laggy, and when i see people in thye distance they are not smooth. Am i the only one?
 
People in the distance are designed to not be smooth to reduce bandwidth and graphical requirements, when they get up close its properly smooth. Sometimes you get slowdown/lag if theres a LOT going on though.
 
So it's not something they will fix? Man the potential i can see in this game is huge, everything is amazing but it just runs like crap on my pc, even on low settings
 
My specs are below, its actually really smooth for me (though I am not on either of the 2 stupidly overpopulated servers (8 peaks / Azgal ). But yeah, everything running lovely for me. (got everything in game set on max including the texture range slider thing)

Currently running:

AMD 64 X2 6000
4Gb Ram
8800GTX
Vista 32

8xAA and 8xAF turned on. Using 177.89 nvidia drivers.
 
9600 GT is crap, it is a 8600GT renamed, w00t. (perhaps a die shrink but if that is the case then why no real increase in clock.)


It is also mainly about Resolution, my 8800GT struggles at 1920 res, ie 24".

Is it? Think you will find it's very nearly as good as an 8800 GT. Also, my bro has an 8800 GT and he is getting the same....I think it's the game personally, just poorly made.
 
9600gt is a poor card^

Is there any trials or refer a friend on this? also how big is the install ?
 
Lol so it laggs on low settings because of a 9600. Thought you guys were nerds who knew your stuff. I run Wow absolute max settings, everything up and it is smooth as hell..Now i know for a fact wow at absolute max is more demanding than war at very low.

It is no where near a 8800 GT. A kind of a cut down 8800GTX. where as 9600GT is just a 8600GT which are not the best tbh.

nVidias dodgy card naming scheme claims another victim.

I agree it sucks, but that is what lack of competition does!

ATI 4850 would be my recommendation for a cheap card that has some power. About £110.
 
Sounds like people are in denial over the game and do not like to admit it has a big performance issue. As much as i hate WoW it is the smoothest MMO i have ever played, Blizzard are the best at making quality products.

I can Run WoW on my eee PC that uses intel integrated graphics so it shows how low requirements it is.

OK so the 9600GT is actually a 8800GT so it isn't so bad. firstly what res? That is the main thing. As I have said mine isn't the best at 1920.

It could also be the CPU, how aout a bit of overclocking, or the drivers, try the latest drivers or DirectX version maybe.

TBH I don't know, but there is no denial. There are just no obvious known issues and thus no simple fix.

You tried to help me? I am pretty dumb when it comes to computers but i know a 9600 is close to a 8800 GT. I don't call that help, i call it false information.
