Samsung Omnia I900 owners thread.

I think one of the firmwares made the battery pants, cant remember which one though.
I hope Samsung release an Official update soon - although i heard some people have already used it but its bricked their phones.
I'm getting sick of the dead screen bug TBH - I'm past my 14 day return window though so im stuck with it now.

I called Vodafone today. Im still within my 14 days - so am getting my Omnia swapped tomorrow. Apparently every Omnia they dispatch now has been individualy tested due to the high rate of returns they were experiencing - the guy on the phone said expect it to look like the box has been opened: dont know what to make of it all.
you can still get it replaced cant you ?
i must be the only person whos had no problems. i had some problems with the skin going mad when using SPB but its fine since removing that ,i never liked it anyway
battery life seems about the same as my aging k800i unall

Not sure what other settings i can change for the screen?
xp, when i put the disc in it wont run, when i double click the drive it thinks then stops, so i downloaded the file from ms and as soon as it installs it stop telling me the wizard was interupted
. wont even do it in safe mode.
think im going to put vista back on again lol.

The ex has this phone and it keeps connecting to the internet via gprs for every little thing.
How do you change the setting so that it never ever connects to gprs unless you expressly tell it to. It added ££s onto last months bill.

you can change the key for turning it back on when it goes on standby
you sure it wont come back on if you hold the power button? has to be held for a stupidly long time which is why i changed mine to come back on with a different button

What version of either Garmin, Tomtom or Route66 does this phone work with?

If i hold the power button, it turns off. I can hear it turn off, but nothing appears on the screen.
Right after much debating and haggling on the phone with orange.. Ive settled on the omnia!
With Voadfone - £35 month, 600 mins, unlimited text, unlimited anytime internet and the phone was free.
Got 2 contracts running at the same time though for a couple of months. Dropped my old phone in the toilet last night, in a drunken state and ended up leaving it there so it was well and truly ****ed! Idiot!

Are there any must-do upgrades or tips that will improve my experience?

I demoed salling clicker, the software that allows you to control your PC from your phone. One cool feature it has is that when someone rings you, a popup appears on the PC with the phone number that's ringing you.

thats the same contract ive got with vodafone,
i havent bothered with flashing rom/upgrading yet , seems rather risky so im just waiting for official updates
Nope...And I had a discount code which entitled me to free bluetooth headset..
Problem is deliver from an online order was 2-4 working days, and Im stuck without a phone atm and was promised id get it today becasue I REALLY need a phone this weekend
