I have this lens and it is giving me Error 99 codes on my 350D, hence why i've purchased a Canon L series lens.

This lens is in mint condition and hasn't had any knocks or anything.

It will work on other cameras won't it?

Reason I ask is obviously it's no use to me so I want to sell it.

Cheers.

Then send it to Tamron for repair, if it doesn't work on yours and you try to sell it then you really can only sell it as broken. Unless you've tried it on a few cameras and the only one that doesn't work on is yours.

You should really still sell with the caveat that you're selling it as a lens that was giving you Er99 on your 350D. Fair's fair - you wouldn't want to receive a lens that you'd been looking forward to and possibly saved a bit up for that didn't work when you got it. I'm afraid that's just false advertising in my books.

The legal term would be misrepresentation :p

Never said I wouldn't inform whoever was buying it that it worked perfectly on my camera :p

I've asked my mate who has thousands of pounds worth of kit and has been in photography for years saying that the lens may just be incompatible with my camera. So i'm going round is tonight to try it on his cameras and see how we go. :)

If it is knackered then i'll be taking it back to the shop where I got it as i've only had a it a few weeks :)

Be careful that you don't damage the camera if the lens sits further back then ones designed specifically for full-frames.

Cue thread "I now have a broken 5D and a Tamron lens for sale..."

To hijack the thread a smidge, you obviously got sorted with a camera then peterattheboro, that weekend was a disaster, still haven't got round to flogging it! Would seem like you're getting a lot of use out of it.

Hi mate.

Yes I managed to get a camera from the bay. Collected from a guy 15 minutes from me that Friday I was supposed to get yours :)

Stick it in the Members Market and it'll be sold in no time :)
