Looking for a new game on payday but not sure what to get Crysis is in bolt writting in my list of games, But would get the first one, What do you guys recomend, I Started playing stalker shaddow of Chernobyl but got bored of it quickly, i have a msall list whats the opinion of them here.

Crysis
Devil May cry 4
Tom Clancey (Any Game)
COD4

Any other recomendadions welcom
 
i have been pondering COD4 for a while i just dont know ahh the choices. i like the idea of Crysis because it is more of a mission game
 
Another vote for CoD4. I've had it since November and love it. Like Streeteh said, the single player is fairly short, but imo it's one of the best story lines I've played.

Multiplayer will keep you going for a while too, severals maps and game modes. Doesn't take long to max your rank, but then the weapon specific unlocks can take some time to get.
 
You could look at getting Crysis: Warhead. It's standalone so you won't need the original and is supposed to be coded a lot better and deal with some of the more annoying gameplay faults in the original.
 
That clears that next question of would i need crysis to play crysis war head. im going to go buy that on payday
 
Just having a look on a popular online retails site and everyone seems to be moaning about the DRM feature on the game. something like 5 installs before the DVd becomes unusable?

Is that right or is there an online function where you can keep validating your DVd after your 5 installs?

It's EA acting up again. They generally give you a new install if you call them up after the 5 times. tbh I can see this whole DRM thing dying a quick death just as soon as they realise warhead downloads more then it sells in the shops.

I'm hoping they patch it after to remove DRM, same with spore. They're losing tens of thousands of sales by adding such strict anti-piracy programs that don't even work.
 
another vote for cod4, single player is ismply the best single player fps i have played, and multiplayer is pretty good!
 
I havnt played COD4 online much, bit the singleplayer alone is good enough to buy. I cant imagine it costs that much as it is 1 year old. COD5 (made by the people who made the crappy cod3) is out soon so COD4 should be very cheap if you wait.
 
get crysis, get 1.1 patch installed, play through that (dont go stupid on resolution or performance will die in a horrible heap) then get warhead, the single player in warhead isn't very long mind, just finished it and though 'shorter than expected' but i have yet to install crysis wars, but for £15 you cant go wrong. and im the first person i know that has said this but i dont feel this 'improvement' in warheads framerates, it runs just like crysis (not that i have any problems with that after the patch) though looks a bit better :) and PSYCHO is way better than NOMAD as a character, plus theres some pretty spectacular scenes to play through!
