2008 Italian GP - Race 14/18

Alonso would easily outdo Massa in the same car..

Like many on here I am amazed Kimi's got a drive at Ferrari next year. I had been hoping FA would get signed because it would really liven things up in the drivers WC..

I agree it's pretty clear Kimi doesn't have the ability to work with a car that isn't working well after the first practice. If the car falls in his lap he's the quickest guy out there. Other than that he goes missing.

He's poor this year because the ferrari isn't suiting him. He cannot work around it.

Alonso would fair so much better with that car, he also has much more hunger.

I dont care much for alonso but he wouldn't be getting beat by Massa.

I'd love to see Alonso in a Ferrari next year, but then we have an interesting dilema.
If Massa wins the WDC, and Alonso joins Ferrari, would Ferrari be expected to have Massa as the number 1 driver?

Much as I'd like it to be them (don't like Flav), weren't Renault involved in one of the 2007 spying allegations in some way? I'm going with Toyota, for no particular reason.

To be completely uninvolved in any of the spy scandals rules out Ferrari, McLaren, Renault and Honda. BMW ruled out as well, obviously, since they were mentioned in that article. So - Red Bull, Toyota, Torro Rosso, Williams, Spyker, Super Aguri. Seems at odds with what you'd expect from any of those teams really (mind, Toyota have form.....). It's a wierd one.

***edit***

Idiot, I was assuming this took place in '07. They said the last Jerez test. So Super Aguri and Spyker wouldn't even have existed. Me = retard :)

Rubbish. Think back to what happened at McLaren or have you forgotten already? - favourtism in the team was quite overt for all to see.
Before LH even started the season everyone knew he was like a son to RD, and subsequently he was treated as such, pushing FA to the side (not the way many teams would treat a current WC as he was at the time).

Alonso has a history of moaning the when the championship gets difficult. After china '06 when schumacher took a surprising win, Alonso turned on his team saying they don't support him and that the team didn't seem to care that he lost the race! The guy is a huge talent, but he is also trouble.

People said the same about Alonso vs hamilton and Kimi vs Massa. In equal cars in DIFFERENT teams i do think Alonso would beat Massa, but at Ferrari i could see Alonso bottling it and complaining the car is designed for Massa and that ferrari are supporting Massa as Schumacher is his mentor etc etc.

I think it might be a red herring...

Interesting, but I wouldn't think any of those teams would be really bothered about other teams development that could be seen through the lens of a camera on the track. Presumably they could just take their own pictures?

Interesting, my first thought was Toyota, given their track record on stealing other's ideas and bending rules (eg mid-nineties WRC).

The 'bully' in the article does seem like a subtle hint though - i completely missed it :)
