Crysis Warhead - Gone Gold

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I left my PC on all day whilst at work thinking it would have downloaded by the time I return - and my PC turned it self to sleep !! More waiting ¬_¬

Run it in DX9 mode (right click on the launch icon in your games folder, select Play DX9), i did and it made me be able to go from everything set to mainstream up to everything set to Enthusiast except for shadows and physics which are set to Gamer at 1440x900. My spec:

opteron 175
8800GT
4 gigs o ram
Vista x64

So there isn't much between our systems so i bet you'll get a huge performance increase like i did
 
Okay guys, I've got it installed on my Vista x64 rig - how do I get it to load in dx9?

Im playing dx10 mode (enthusiast) 1440x900 2xfsaa and getting in the 30's for framerate. Does look better than crysis id say. Even the ice levels are running pretty well.
 
Doesn't work that well for me on my 8800GT with no AA, 1920x1200 on Gamer is very slow, as is Enthusiast (not surprised!) but even Mainstream slows down considerably.

Might be a problem at my end, gonna try some new drivers later.

3Ghz C2D and 4Gb ram on Vista x64
 
On the original Crysis I got 12 fps on V High with a 8800GTX, went up to 21 with GTX 280, and 37 with GTX 280 SLI.

It is abit silly with its GFX hardware requirements :eek:

im getting abit of slow down, on an 8800GT, Q6600 @3.4ghz, 2gb ram. GAMER settings.

Only really slows down in fire fights!
 
Very dissapointed in how short the good bit before the stupid crappy Aliens turned up was :(

Am I stuck firing strange guns at stupid flying things for the rest of the game now?

Must admit I haven't reached it in Warhead yet, although in the original game I'm one of the few people who didn't mind the aliens coming, gave a change of pace to the game :p
 
Does indeed run great on DX9, 1920x1200, 25-30fps (4ghz, 4gb ram, 9800gtx) on gamer, or 35ish at 1680x1050.

If i can turn a few things off and run it at a pretty constant 30fps id be happy enough at native rez.
 
Mine runs terribly on DX9. Have to use DX10.

Enthusiast runs worse than OCrysis and has many texture issues.

DX10 Gamer runs pretty good at 1680x1050 with VSync and 4xAA, but that is because they have obviously dropped settings/quality.

Have already had first crash after about a 10 min session.

Forced it into Dx9 and now it runs very nice, still slows down a bit on Enthusiast at 1920x1200 but come on! This is an 8800GT and it's getting on, quite pleased really!

Compared to Crysis it runs and looks great, it's what the original Crysis should have been.

For reference, I cannot play the original Crysis on "High" settings, it's completely unplayable.

So I couldn't be bothered to wait for my channel islands order so I've just purchased it after work in town.

Going to install after foodz.
