OCZ ReaperX HPX 2 * 2GB

Just bought 8 GB worth of this from a well known high street retailer for £70!

But i can only fit 4 GB of it in my mobo.

Anybody know and AM2+ Mobos that will take the full 8GB?

the ReaperX have much bigger heatsinks than standard OCZ ram.

I think that you actually are supposed to dual channel two of them and go for HPC in the other channels

I have never seen 4 side by side because they are monsterous

tried to put 6gb of ram in by doing that but the platinum rev 2 i have dosent fit

i bought 12gb to, ive took half the heatsink off on mine, fit in then

undo the 3 screws, and prize them apart, quite easy, temps are ok, they dont get that hot, and my case ventilated well.

no but at this price it was just the 8GB "upgrade" I fancied.. I don't reallistically expect to see much if any improvement but if I was only in it for the obvious gains i wouldn't be on this forum
