Hi guys

Sorry, about the millionth thread on crysis warhead - but I thought this would help most people with non-behemoth pcs.

Here is my spec :

e6420 cpu 2.13ghz
2gb ram
7900gto 512mb

So as you can see, my pc is decent, but not great. Im currently installing it now, so after a few plays through ill report back here with my results

I can't run my rig any higher than Mainstream unless I use DX9 then I can run GAMER settings I think another 2Gb of ram would fix this as the game uses 1.7Gb of ram currently good job I ordered some today

What about my little laptop with its nVidia 8600M GT card? 256MB of DDR2 mem. Will it run nicely at 1280x800 dost thou think?

i even can run it on max well i can but 20~30 for me is not playable :rolleyes:

no. That ram is tiny. Upgrade it then yes on low

Ross, I have a sneaky suspicion that ic1male means that the 8600M GT he mentions has 256Mb of DDR2, rather than the actual memory installed on his laptop. :cool:

I have an 8600GT in my Dell XPS 1530 with DDR3, so I'm hoping it runs Warhead ok. It certainly ran COD4 and Black Site : Area 51 ok, which was an absolute system hog on a lot of PC's.

How much RAM do you have Margaret? I'm running it OK on Gamer at 1400x900 with a 3870 (which should give me similar performance to your GT), but I'm not sure it could hack enthusiast...only got 2GB RAM though, so I reckon this may be the issue.

Well the original game ran pretty badly on my 8600M GT...settings on medium/low....this might allow you to take things a little higher cos the engine's optimised.

Enthusiast should be fine on a 4850 especially at that res!

Edit: Oops not sure where I got 4850 from!

nvidia 8800gt can i run it on 1280x1024?

May try and find annother couple of gigs of RAM.

EDIT: I know it's slower, but not by a lot!

Easily, i have a lesser spec and run it on enthusiast at 1440x900.

I run Enthusiast on 1920x1200, you should have good results at 1280x1024

Found it easier from the shops personally, couldn't be bothered to wait for mine to DL (and I have a bandwidth limit) but I guess it depends on your ISP as to what you go for!
