£400-500 Upgrade!

Hi guys just a quick question for you all as iv'e been out of the game for a while shall we say

Current specs:

E6600 OC @ 3.0ghz
2 Gig G.Skill RAM
8800 GTX 768mb
Vista Home Premium 32bit

Im a big gamer so i mainly play games, but as you can guess my system is starting to creek with old age! What would you recommend i upgrade with my budget of £400-500?

4870 X2 and 4GB of ram? (why did you buy a 32bit Vista????). What res do you play at?

Because it was a pre built system from here i got a year and a half ago

Unless you have a 30" monitor, I see no point in the X2, go for a 4870. Upgrading to 4GB RAM is still worth it on a 32-Bit OS.

Natural res is 1680x1050 and the PSU is BFGR800WPSU

better cooler on cpu (if on stock) and a bigger OC.

you should see mine!

mainly got a 360/ps3/hd lcd past couple of years so pc's kinda came last, but I have

3700 San Diego
2GB DDR400
X800GT 512

And boy does that suck with battlefield...

I'd go for what Ben M said above, opting for the 4870.
