I had a chinese right before I went drinking on a night out. No matter how many doubles and beers I couldn't get tipsy in the slightest, which is needed for me to get onto the dancefloor.

After a huge chinese, drink doesn't affect me at all. All the chicken must soak up the alcohol before getting into the bloodstream.

Drinking milk and lining your stomach is true. Milk contains casein which is like a glue and sticks to the inside of your stomach preventing absorption. Milk is bad, people, m'kay?

Drinking a lot on a full stomach may stop it from going to your head as quickly but your Liver still has to process the alcohol. ;)

Your still gonna feel parp the next morning.

There are some real Homer Simpson's in this community. :p

MSG is not actually that bad for you, no worse than salt. As with most things moderation is the key.

But why let the truth get in the way of media scare stories ;)

I think it is the idea of eating chinese multiple times a week with all the sugar, salt and other additives that is the problem, not simply that a little bit of MSG is going to do for you.

In relation to the rest, some of these drinking myths are great. Food digesting alcohol? That's a new one on me I've got to admit.

It's the fat in the food and the fat in milk that slows absortion of alcohol that stops you from getting drunk - fast!

Wimp. You weren't drinking enough if you couldn't get drunk.
I've had chinese before going out numerous times, while it boosts your tolerance because its a big greasy msg packed meal I still get drunk, I'll have probably about 14 pints or the equivalent to 14 pints and be able to walk home merrily.
