First PES 2009 Review

Bang on!

I hate the PES followers mis-guided belief you can score from 30 yards, just like that on fifa. If I'm on honest its easier to do that on PES with scholes or stevie g.

You must learn to play fifa and then suddenly you're in a whole new world. PES is just so simplistic and basic, it hurts. It does have it's benefit as far a pick up and play prior to going out on the beers, with my mates.

It is funny as this is exactly the type of thing that the PES fans say about FIFA. Granted, PES2008 was awful but most of the series before this were solid games. Anyone whoever had the pleasure of playing PES6 with the Evolution patch probably still plays this and longs for the latest version to be similar.

(Sorry, I play PC and always make the mistake of posting in console. I must pay attention - goes to write his lines!)

Matter of opinion at the end of the day. I couldn't care less about fancy graphics / menus / licenses etc so it boils down to just gameplay for me which for me, PES cant be beaten. Although I have clocked up nearly 3 times the hours on FIFA 08 than I have on PES 2008, because of the online modes, I still find PES to feel 'right'.

The fact they haven't released a demo by now speaks volumes.

They don't want us gamers to play it until we part with our cash and then realise it's exactly the same as last year!

I think I'll wait for it to come out rather than say I'm not going to buy and Fifa is at least zillion times better, based on a bunch of review videos which give zero feel or idea to the gameplay and what it plays like.

so why open the thread
we get the picture you dont like it

Other videos i had seen could have been older builds. I had still held a little hope for pro evo. Forums are for talking about thingss, and that include wheather you like a game or not.

Also i thought you left for good?

Getting sick of magizine reviews, PSM3 just dropped through my door says

No master league improvment, no new licences, lack of movement new modes, awful commentry, dissapointing legend mode and they havent even reviewed the multiplay part yet and they give it 88%

I was always a PES player until last year when it was rubbish, and Fifa have really raised the game again this year, and produced what looke to be a very complete game, no doubt IGN with it ingame PES ads will give it an amazing score one again.

Sorry, but UEFA 2008 and FIFA 09 (demo) gameplay is way better than the previous 2 PRO's. And looking at the video's of the new PRO...it just doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I prefer a sim rather than an quick fire arcade footy game.

Forums are for only stating you like/dislike something once.
