Britain bangs up youth for visiting the wrong places on the Web

We've put someone in prison for downloading the jolly roger cookbook (Which you can order from most decent bookshops). So this is nothing new. :( It's a shocking thing when posession of a book can get you put in prison. No matter what they may have wanted that book for, posession of it itself should not ever be a crime.

Amen. But we live in a country where you can be arrested under the obscene publications act for writing a story, so I wouldn't expect any less from the traitorous government. My advice is to use a proxy, that way you will never be arrested for looking at anything, so you don't need to constantly worry that some petty thing may be illegal.

Most proxies are actually pretty easily traceable back to you. To say you'll never be arrested for looking at anything while using one is just a tad naive.

No, it's not. But if you'd prefer me to be specific, let's see how they're getting on in Pakistan:


A bomb attack has hit the Marriott Hotel in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, killing at least 17 people. The BBC's Barbara Plett who is at the scene says the blast created a 20ft (6m) deep crater, and destroyed the entire front section of the hotel.

She describes plumes of black smoke and rescue workers carrying out bloodied victims, as well as bodies. Some reports say the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber, but this has not been unconfirmed.
