About to order a chinese need a decent alternative to chicken satay because I wanna try something new but I have no idea what half the stuff on the menu is.

I do not like sweet and sour or thin runny curries.

I normally order chicken satay with rice or chicken curry with rice but the chicken curry normally has millions of onions through it.

Chow mein is okay I dont like most of the green vegetables they put in it, I do love the baby corn though.

SO I want something that isn't sweet and sour and isn't runny and doesn't have a load of veg in it.

Crispy chilli beef AKA fried chilli beef.Awesome stuff.

beef in black bean sauce.
Lemon chicken is nice as well.

Chicken with mushrooms usually, has, just that. You should be able to ask them to leave out the onions provided the person doesn't just start screaming at you down the phone

I always order a curry without onions.

How about a plain chicken chow mein? I don't particularly like beansprouts etc but they will usually cook to order.

My local used to do something called 'aromatic pork', was beautiful, but nowhere els seems to do it. Not that this helps the op at all!

Crispy chilli beef is lovely. Especially when it's nice and sticky!

I love lemeon chicken if it'd done nicely.

Peking duck with hoisin sauce and pancakes is also ace.

Chinese food is moorish, I think it's all the MSG!
