I like my wee corsa 
Its a 05 and its been a solid wee thing! 
Had a hire 'New' corsa for about 40 days when mines was getting fixed (crashed into over night!), it was a 1.4 and i hated every moment of having it
Had no power for a 1.4, hated that long dash/windscreen and it was very rolly polly! Nevr feared for my life so much whilst coming on/off motorways and exiting roundabouts! lol

Ive never had any issues with it, and it pulls ok Seems an ok wee drive... im by no means an expert, god if only i had money for nice cars, but it seemed on par with other wee cars i test drove (fiesta, clio, punto, etc), well tell a lie, i hated how the clio felt! Did not like the seats!

What 1.4's actually have much power?
I think they are ok... defo more to them than 1.0's or 1.2's obviously
1.4's are ok for smallish cars, it does what its supposed to do id imagineYes this is because it is a 1.4..

Sorry... i mean the new corsa 1.4 doesnt feel as nippy as other types of car with 1.4 engines... it was very sluggish! So god knows what a 1.0 would be like!

Mines is ok, 1.8, has plenty of go left when i need it for overtaking etc

Indeed. The 1.8 isn't all bad. It's still a Corsa though
My friends 1.0 is just lethargic. I almost hate being a passenger in it.
Why do you keep buying them? Have you some sort of mental condition?
