FARCRY 2 --- Officially , official of official threads! ---

they are to release a bencmark of the game so people will know how it will play on there machines , so fair enough

I want to know about gameplay which is why it's a shame I can't get a demo, good thing the internet can provide me with one to help me decide if this game is worth getting. :D

The videos of this look awesome, seem to be staying fairly true to the Far Cry feel although slightly more gritty and realistic on the graphics front. Definitely looking forward to it, might try and grab myself a GPU upgrade if my PSU can handle it.

Allegedly 'everything' is breakable and alterable, certainly didn't look that way in the videos though. Maybe you just need REALLY powerful weapons to break a piece of wood....
Also the footsteps seemed very loud, and respawning baddies is a pet hate of mine.

This is the only game I've been waiting for this year. Forget Warhead, forget Clear Sky, I want new ground breaking stuff! and Far Cry2 is it. I doubt my pc will play it with nice gfx though. :(

Steam F T W

Steam Pricing..... :(

Steam pricing is well worth it IMHO. :D Except in the case of Call Of Duty 4 maybe, but in the case of non-Valve games it's the publisher who dictates the price anyway, so thanks Activision.

P.S. I bought the hard copy of COD4 for this reason.

Indeed.. apart from activision games, I think that Steam games are very fairly priced..

you don't have to install from physical media, you don't have to update anything, the community tab is actually good, and I have my games installed on three different machines :)

from what i've read, it's supposed to be less demanding than crysis

can't remember where i read it, but it was today
