First Far Cry 2 Review - PC Gamer

I don't understand why people think FarCry 2 will be as demanding as its predecessor was in its time, some people are even comparing it to Crysis. FarCry 1 was developed by Crytek, this will be developed by Ubisoft, it will not be a system destroyer of the same ilk Crytek seem to produce all the time.

[EDIT] Also as snakedoctor has stated, it is being released on consoles too, so there's no way PCs will need to be as powerful as those needed to run Crysis well (unless it's a terrible port).
 
Read the bottom of the review for recommended specs ;)

From what I remember recommended is Core 2 Processor, 2gb Ram and an 8600GTS

Minimum is P4 3.2, 1Gb Ram and an Nvidia 5800
 
Bioshock got top end marks too, and that was crap apart from the story itself. I'll await unbiased user reviews this time round.

Less than £30 I would think, as I understand the PS3 is based on the 7800 series and the 360 is based on the X1800 I believe.

The 8800GT is like, more than twice as fast as the above cards.
 
PCs blow consoles out of the water in terms of performance. For the same money as a PS3 you can probably buy and build a more impressive PC... HOWEVER... i still prefer consoles, graphics aren't everything after all :)
