What Phobias do you have?

No posting pics of people Phobias - Well serious ones anyway


My Phobias are:

1) Spiders - They freak me out and dont think they belong in this world at all.

2) Drowning - Does what it says.

3) Falling - off a cliff etc

4) Trapped - in a cave etc

5) One random one from work is getting thrown in a Revent oven (about 7ft tall oven that reaches over 230deg)

Cant think of anymore will update if i do.

Mine are the heights, the wife and the neighbours..

My worst nightmare therefore would be escaping from the MRs by sneaked outside via the roof only to be spotted by the Mafia with a shotgun and a dead lobster!

I don't get out much!

Also, isn't a phobia more like an irrational fear? I think most people are "scared" of the above, enough in that the average person wouldn't like to drown, fall off a cliff, be trapped, cooked alive or die in any other enlonged or painful way.

That doesn't mean you're scared of water, cliffs, caves or ovens though?

Thats true :P lol , im not scared of water , im not scared of cliffs (just hate looking over the edge) Not scared of ovens either as i have to work with them almost every day as you say its just fear

i've got a thing about heights, it's more of an excitement feeling than a fear (i love cliff jumping / coasteering)

if i watch something like cliffhanger, i get wet fingertips

infact they're a bit 'damp' just thinking about it :)

You might want to remove the swearing there to avoid having it edited for you.

I don't think I suffer from any phobias really, possibly falling from a great height but even then it isn't the falling so much as the sudden stop that would bother me.
 
Clowns make me nervous, I wouldn't say a "phobia" as such, but I certainly feel uneasy, probably from my childhood when the infamous CoCo the clown grabbed me from the audience I think.

But I also have a real uneasyness with old black and white photos. Nothing silly like when I turn away they'll come to life, just feel generally uncomfortable around them.
