Hey guys,

Appreciate that the games only just out, but whats the general consensus on the playability of this for a casual gamer (a few hours every 5 days or so) compared to other mmporgs? I played Daoc a LOT and dont really want to get sucked right back in like i did for that!)

Well, it's quite possibly to play it casually. There are a lot of mechanisms in it to let you log on and just have fun doing whatever you want for an hour or so, and still progress.

That said, it WILL take over your life :D I haven't spent so much time in an mmo since EQ1.

Going off t4 play (level 3x) in beta. It becomes even more casual friendly, there were always huge oRvR battles (usually around praag) which could be joined quickly and that was with a 5th of the server pop we have now.

Realistically can you PvP from the start?

I played original EQ with a 62 shammy at the end. Raided higher end (I was the 'baby' shammy of the guild) but ever since then I've been bored stupid by every MMORPG (including EQ2, AO,Vanguard, etc) because it's been a case of whack-a-mole.

I've got zero interest in just playing whack-a-mole or quest-by-numbers. What I want is something like ET:QW where I can login/logout as I need.

Question is - is this game like that or do I have to spend an hour finding a group, an hour getting the group to the location, start killing only moles only for the healer to needing to leave?

Basically the thought if mass war does appeal, the thought of grinding exp PvE for 200 days played online to get to the strategy point isn't.

misterjingo raped me the other night in barrak var scenario i was only lvl 12 shaman though was ato low to be there really ,got me arse handed to me on a plate lol thought i no that name, right on with leveling now ,i will over come :)

ahah quite sad going for the lowbie healers I know, but even level 12s can keep a tank or mdps up for a long time! Shamans and zealots of my own level can take an absolutely obscene amount of punishment.

You can load the game, create your level one, and then instantly join a scenario queue and happily PvP. Keep in mind that a level 1 will have around 2 skills, so it might not be the most exciting PvP, but you can happily do it. Theres usually 2 quests you can grab at your initial spawn point which are repeatable scenario quests (play the scenario and kill x players). So you keep handing these in after each scenario and you'll soon have more skills under your belt and be having more fun.

Hi all, been playing since last tuesday and really enjoying it up to now.

The one problem I have got is that when I come to an area where there are a lot of those corn fields the animation effect of the corn moving looks really awfull and it almost makes me feel sick looking at it.Any ideas how to either remove the effect all to make it better.
