Ok, I know there are several movie soundtrack threads, but this one is a little bit different. This thread is to show people the part of clip of a film that you feel was converted from being average to good - to completely epic thanks to some wise soundtrack choices.

I watched Sunshine for the first time a week ago and have since then watched it 3 times with differen't people.

The more I watch the less I feel moved by the film, and more so by the soundtrack.

Especially so in this track - where you see Capa struggling desperately trying to reach the payload before it launches towards the sun - falling down on the way and eventually jumping through space to reach it.

That acting, coupled with the pianos in this piece of music rank highly in my opinion.

Said clip:

Soundtrack to the clip:

Right, let's see your favourites.

without a doubt for me it is the opening scene of irreverible.

its already a twisted scene but that soundtrack just takes it to a whole new levels of twistedness.

even the music alone makes you feel iffy! great soundtrack throughout the film

cant really link the clip for graphic reasons but its on there

that films soundtrack is hugely behind my love of bangalter

never seen sunshine i fancied seeing it when it came out but totally forgot about it since then. Dont wanna watch the clip now in case its a spoiler :D

Yeah don't watch the clip. Listen to the music clip though, still sounds good :)

Go rent it, can be had cheap in Blockbuster for a week rental.

Heat is a great meld of visuals and music which helps put it way above the usual heist movies. Parts that always stand out with great music are the robbery shootout and the ending with Moby's sublime piano piece.

Don't have the clips but Almost Famous, most of the music makes it rise above most films, especially the scene on the bus when they all start singing Tiny Dancer.

The great thing about the soundtrack for that scene is that there is no music. Well, not until the very end when Vincent is hunting down Michael. I think it only come in around the point where Michael grabs the kid.

A scene totally made by the excellent decision to not have any music.

Was scanning down to see if anyone beat me to it....you did.

The part where Vincent (Pacino) is chasing Neil (Deniro) in the car at night before they go and get coffee is just incredible.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is one of my all time favourite films.

The final scene where he finally sees the Jaguar Shark and they are all sitting in the submarine is a good scene on its own. With the song Staralfur playing over it I feel makes it 100 times better. Gets me evey time :)

Excellent scene!

the fire extinguisher to the face part i guess..!

for me, it's the end of 28 days later, the music build up is intense to say the least

yes , i was sort of meaning the bits before you see the actual gruesomeness though.

where the camera is just hovering unnervingly and the music id doing the same. really gets to me
