Does anyone watch UK situation comedies?

Its better than the American crap, I mean has anyone ever watched Everyone Loves Raymond. My housemate turned this on last week and I had to ask him to turn it over, it wasnt funny, it was painfully bad.

Only fools isn't actually that funny, its just really well written and can turn average jokes into better ones because the characters are much better developed and charming.

One of my favorite British comedies that doesn't get anywhere near the praise it should do is Bottom. Watching Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson in pure slap-stick is comical brilliance. Rik's expressions and the constant stupid but genious dialog between the two is belly aching stuff.

As for American things... they have some decent stuff, but I'm sure there is not a person on this forum who doesn't laugh out loud at Family Guy. Yes its a cartoon, but its probably the funniest thing out of the US for ages.

I've never once laughed at Family Guy. I find it irritating and unfunny and I can't stand the characters.

Utter *****!

Yes, but all the really good stuff has been and gone, Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses, The Office.

Still, Peep Show gets a laugh out of me :)

My Family was great when Nick was in it all the time, also same for My Hero when it was that bloke from Father Ted (forgot his name now), was rubbish with that guy from Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie doing it.

Red dwarf and spaced are the only two I like. although I have started getting into How Not To Live Your Life
and lab rats is watchable if you are drunk and can't sleep.
