Aye i know it's based on initiative it's just sometimes i run virtually straight through people and they don't notice and other times i can see them running directly at me from a decent way away.

Nothing like stealthing round to a healer and killing him in about 5 seconds while his friends are all looking the other way :D.

That and the zerg PvP I experienced throughout beta has put me right off, RvR sounded great on paper, but just came out as the same as WoW's bigger battles.

Public quests were awesome though, especially when other people were around.

Really?!?! What server was that...

I was on the now defunct OcUK realm and had to wait up to 45 minutes to logon, this lasted for about 3 months after launch and from what i read was duplicated across most of the live realms.

Say what? Just hit up the flight master in Erkland in tier 1 (or any other flight master) and you can travel to the other realms, you even get quests to tell you to do just that thing.
 
Finally taken delivery of my second CE and got it installed and patched (had to leave the PC on last night to download the patches). Just firing it up for the first time (after "fixing" DirectX on my system) - that opening cinematic is quite something!
 
Can i assume that my machine won't be able to run the game to a reasonable level? i don't mind playing on min settings but it's got to be playable.

AMD 3500+
2gig RAM
6600GT

I'm planning on upgrading to a RAD 3650, will that help at all?

You should be fine, it isn't really that demanding graphically it seems to be an absolute memory hog though.

Your general framerate with a few settings lowered will be acceptable but it does suffer from glitchy performance even on some top end systems.
 
I'm looking forward to this cloning on Wednesday, I just crashed out and now I've gotta wait 30 mins to get back in. It's really slowing my leveling too!

Logged in at 7:15, waited in 45 minute queue, entered game, saw a bunch or Orks fly into the air, then it dumped me at the character screen.
Logged in again at 8:00, waited in 44 minute queue, got in fine, as soon as I tried to fly to the Inevitable City, it dumped me back to Character Select.

**** this. :mad:

Not way I'm paying for this after the first month if I have to put up with these queues and its going to crash me out to the character screen all the time.

edit: Also, is there an OCUK guild on Karak-Azgal? :)

I call for a nerf!!! haha seriously when RvR'ing there is nothing more frustrating as a caster to see other DPS casters wasting AP on tanks... Would you guys please go around and kill the healers first??????? Some people learn things the hard way, if they ever do! Don't they know enough from playing WoW that healers need to be dropped first, if there is no CC? :confused:

Btw my Bright Wizard kept on dying because of "explosion" caused by my own spell, took me a while to figure out what the heck was happening! It would say that I was killed by <my nick name> haha.

Grr.... I miss the fire wizard in DAoC and was thinking that it was the same.. Oh BOY was I wrong lol =)

I love this game.

There are servers which say guess what low population, let me repeat that slowly loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

Guess what that means einstein? No queues.
